Who, Where, When and What  
Business Acuity's mobile phone Time & Attendance solutions provide guaranteed proof that an employee was present at a location at a particular time. They also allow the capturing of context-specific data that is relevant to that location - for example, going in/out when at a door, odometer reading when in a vehicle, or job-related information when at a customer site. All done via their mobile phone without needing a separate PDA or Satellite tracking system.

Guaranteed proof-of-attendance
The Business Acuity RFID product turns an RFID tag into a clocking machine - a very affordable clocking machine that can be placed anywhere your employees might visit or need to record data - at customer locations, suppliers, offices, warehouses, in vehicles, etc. They simply touch the tag with their mobile phone and you instantly have a record of their presence - WHO, WHERE and WHEN. That’s what we call "phone-goes-to-tag". In some circumstances it may be better to turn the concept around and use "tag-comes-to-phone" - i.e. the RFID tags are used to identify people instead of locations. A good example of this would be construction sites, where the manager or foreman has a phone and the site workers touch it with their own Id tag to clock on/off.

Simple data capture
So now you have proof they were there but how about WHAT they were doing there?. The phone is also able to provide the user with a list of choices, dependent upon the type of location they are at, and the type of user they are. For example, a tag at a customer site may allow a regular worker to choose from a pre-defined list of work types, input a job number, record the final status, etc. But when a Superviser touches the same tag, they are presented with some different options - maybe related to the quality of work carried out.

Not interested in proving WHERE they are?
Depending on the type of employee, you may not be interested in WHERE they are, but you do need to capture some data from them. Typical examples could be sales reps recording their timesheets and mileage, or employees visiting one-off customers and needing to record some job details. The Business Acuity MOBILE application works in exactly the same way as the RFID product, but without the need to touch a tag.

Real-time updates to your back-office
All information is sent from the Business Acuity phone application in real-time to your existing back-office applications for further processing or analysis. Alternatively, the data is also available for viewing in Business Acuity's own web-based back-office - if you are collecting customer-related data you can even give your end-customers access themselves, to see how well you are servicing them!
